Shaun studied contemporary dance at the University of Roehampton, graduating in 2012 with a BA Hons in Dance Studies. He then spent time working as a dance artist in various capacities for Matthew Bourne's New Adventures and Re:Bourne, Flexus Dance Theatre, Sadler's Wells, Third Row Dance Company, Volkosti Cossacks, and C-12 Dance Theatre. Working with established choreographers Matthew Bourne, Scott Ambler, Lee Smikle, Katy Sterran, Shaun Parker, James Finnemore, Annie-Lunette Deakin-Foster, Mari Frogner, and Georgia Tegou. Shaun has developed a bold an uncompromising style, focusing on exploring human instinct and experience. His work aims to connect with audiences through stark and brutally honest dance theatre, through a blend of raw, powerful, fluid movement, and emotional complexity.
Shaun has seen his work performed at some of the countries biggest venues and festivals around the UK including Sadler's Wells, The Place, Edinburgh Fringe festival, Battersea Arts Centre, Dance East, The Royal Festival Hall, Theatre Royal Plymouth, Trinity Laban and Northern School of Contemporary Dance.
Shaun has an incredible passion for dance in education. His extensive teaching experience. delivering work across the UK at primary, secondary and Undergraduate levels, saw him win the inaugural One Dance UK 'Rising star' award in 2018 for his work in the sector. In 2015 Shaun created the short work 'TIDAL' on the ‘Lord of the Flies’ Legacy cast for London in collaboration with Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures and Re:Bourne which was performed at Laban, the London Aquatic Centre and Sadler's Well
