An Introduction to Coombe Federation
The Coombe Federation has gone from strength to strength since its formation in 2005. It consists of Coombe Boy’s School, Coombe Girls’ School and Coombe Sixth Form Centre. The Federation shares one Governing body and is led by the Head of Federation Mrs Deborah Walls, who was appointed in 2010.
A much-loved New Malden institution since 1955, Coombe Girls’ School has enabled generations of local girls to fulfil their promise and exceed their parents’ hopes and expectations. Our excellent reputation is built on the strongest of foundations – our desire to produce happy, successful and well-balanced children.
Coombe Boys' School has a proud history stretching all the way back to 1931 when it was founded as Beverley Central School and quickly gained a reputation for academic and sporting excellence. The school changed its name and became part of the federation
Our rapidly expanding sixth form now numbers 600 students, all attracted by our excellent reputation for academic success. More students than ever before are going on to university and Oxbridge admissions continuing to flourish. The components of the Federation share a ‘Coombe ethos’ encompassing a ‘whole student’ approach that’s truly preparing them for a world of opportunity.http://www.coombeschools.org/
